Open Banking — How can I connect bank accounts to Rauva?

What is Open Banking?

Open Banking is a new way of managing finances that allows you to securely interconnect all your bank accounts in one place. With open banking, it becomes easy to view account balances and transaction history, transfer money between accounts, and even receive personalised financial advice based on your spending habits. It is a technology that is transforming traditional banking and gives you more control over your money, helping you make smarter financial decisions.

How does Open Banking help me and my business?

If you use another account alongside Rauva, you can connect it to your Rauva account, categorise and add evidence to the transactions from the connected account.

If you are a Charged customer and use the Monthly Business Report, or a Supercharged customer, the information applied to transfers from connected accounts will be communicated to the connected accountants.

This means that you can use Rauva as a central hub for all your financial needs, streamlining the running of your business.

Is open-banking secure?

Yes, Open Banking is designed with rigorous security measures to protect people's data and privacy. We ensure the security of your login information through end-to-end encrypted connections, and your credentials will be safe and inaccessible to anyone.

Who are Tink?

Tink are the company we partner with to provide our Open Banking solution. They are one of the leading companies in this area globally, and are owned by Visa.

How can I connect other banking account?

  1. On the Menu, click in Link new account;
  2. Click in Link new account to continue.

When the connection is done, you’ll see a success message stating “your [bank name] account linked successfully”.

How do I categorise and add documents to connected accounts?

You can categorise and add documents to transactions in exactly the same way you can with normal transactions, selecting the transaction and doing so on the transaction details screen.

Can I revoke access of an account?

Yes, you can.

  1. On the Menu, click in Link account;
  2. Click on the account you want to revoke access;
  3. Click in Revoke access; and
  4. Confirm.

To what extent can I see the transaction history in Rauva?

Rauva transactions, no limit.

External accounts, depends on the bank. Usually, between 3 to 12 months.
