How to issue an invoice or an Invoice-Receipt

In order to issue an invoice, follow these simple steps:

| App

  1. From the menu, click on Invoices.
  2. Click on New document.
  3. Select Invoice or Invoice-Receipt.
  4. Click on the option to Add client Here, you can either insert a new client’s information by clicking on Create new, or select a client you have already created and is listed there.

a. The Client Business name and the Country of the client are mandatory fields.

  1. Follow a similar procedure for items. i.e., Click Add item. Then either insert a new item’s information by clicking on Create new, or select a listed item you created before.

a. In this case, the Item Name, the Price per unit, the IVA% and the Description of your service or product are mandatory fields.

  1. You can choose the document’s Issue date by choosing that option, selecting a day from the calendar, and confirming it.
  2. As for the Due date, you are offered some default options to choose from, but you can also customize with a specific day from the calendar by selecting the option Choose custom due date and confirming it.
  3. Select your VAT Exemption according to the type of transaction this document refers to. If you are not sure, we suggest to check with your certified accountant.
  4. Select the currency (if you which to invoice in multi-currency). By default, EURO is the selected currency. The invoice will still be issued in EURO, but the final amount will be shown in both EURO and the other currency you've chosen.
  5. An option for a Global discount comes right after, which allows you to choose either a percentage or an absolute amount in Euros (€) of discount you want to apply.
  6. Following this option, you will find the “Retention” field, if applicable.
  7. Finally, if you wish to add some notes, you will find a text box to do so.
  8. Now you just need to Save as draft.
  9. And Finalize the invoice.

| Desktop

  1. Go to the Menu and click on Invoices.
  2. Choose Create new invoice (if you want to create an Invoice-Receipt, just click on Other documents and choose Invoice-Receipt).
  3. Select the currency (if you which to invoice in multi-currency). By default, EURO is the selected currency. The invoice will still be issued in EURO, but the final amount will be shown in both EURO and the other currency you've chosen.

The desktop version allows you to preview the document. If you do not want this view, simply click the eye icon at the bottom of the page.

In addition to the invoice preview, it is also possible to preview how the body of the email will be sent.
