Transaction limits
This article describes the transaction limits for different types of transfers in Rauva, including SEPA Instant, SEPA SCT and SEPA INST, as well as international transfers made available through our payment services partner, SWAN.
What is Instant SEPA Processing?
Instant SEPA allows for immediate transfer of funds within the SEPA region (Single Euro Payments Area).
- Transfer Limit: Up to €100k.
- Processing Time: Instant – transactions are completed right away.
An instant SEPA transfer (SEPA SCT INST) can be converted into a regular SEPA transfer (SEPA SCT) in the following cases:
- The recipient’s bank does not accept Instant SEPA.
- There are technical issues affecting the transaction.
- Compliance checks are required by our licensed financial partners.
What is Regular SEPA Processing?
Regular SEPA SCT processing is used for standard transfers in the Eurozone.
- Transfer Limit: up to 1 cent less than a billion euros
- Processing Time: Typically 1-2 business days, with a maximum delay of 5 business days.
Delays may occur due to:
- Technical issues encountered during processing.
- Bank processing times.
- Additional compliance checks that may be required by our licensed financial partners.
What is the process for International transfers?
International transfers allow you to send money in multiple currencies through SWAN’s licensed financial partners.Yes, fees are set by SWAN’s licensed financial partners and are charged separately from the transaction amount.
Before execution, both the transfer amount and the fees are checked to ensure there are sufficient funds.
Limits for International Transfers:
- USD:
- Local routes: Up to 1 million USD.
- SWIFT network: Up to 1.6 million USD.
- GBP: Up to 1 million GBP.
- CHF: Up to 250 million CHF.
Outgoing Options:
- Local Rails: Available for local currencies; typically faster and less expensive.
- SWIFT Network: Available for USD, EUR, GBP only; processing takes 2-5 business days.
Are there any fees for International Transfers?
Yes, fees are set by SWAN’s licensed financial partners and are charged separately from the transaction amount.
