What are Virtual Cards?

In this article, you will get a comprehensive look at virtual cards, how to create one and how to manage the cards in Rauva.


What are virtual cards?

Virtual cards are digital versions of debit cards that can be used for online purchases or with digital wallets like Apple and Google Pay. They offer additional security as they can be linked to a specific transaction or time period, and can be easily cancelled or deleted if compromised. They are also useful for individuals who prefer not to use their primary physical card.

In Rauva, we offer up to 10 virtual cards, depending on your plan.

Create a virtual card

  1. From the Menu, click on Cards
  2. Choose Virtual Card
  3. Tap on Create virtual card and then click to Get in instantly
  4. Give it a name (or skip this part) and Save
  5. You will be asked to authenticate and, once it is done, your card is ready to be used
  • Charged users can request up to 3 virtual cards.
  • Supercharged users can request up to 10 virtual cards.
The limits for creating virtual cards are as follows:
  • Charged users can request up to 3 virtual cards.
  • Supercharged users can request up to 10 virtual cards.

Virtual card details

To see your virtual card details, just follow these steps:

  1. From the Menu, click on Cards
  2. Enter the virtual card you want to see the details
  3. Tap on Show details
  4. You will be asked to authenticate and, once it is done, you will be able to see the card details on your mobile phone

Virtual card settings

  1. From the Menu, click on Cards
  2. Enter the virtual card you want to see the settings
  3. Tap on Settings
  4. Once you save, you will be asked to authenticate and, once it is done, changes will be saved

In the settings, it's possible to :

  • Name (and rename) your virtual card (card name has a limit of 25 characters)
  • Set up the spending limits by day, week, or month,
  • Cancel the virtual card.

Add your virtual card to a digital wallet

To add your virtual card to a digital wallet, just follow these steps:

  1. Open your wallet app and tap on the "Add" button
  2. Manually enter your card details
  3. Verify your card if needed

Cancel virtual card

  1. From the Menu, click on Cards
  2. Enter the virtual card you want to cancel
  3. Once you confirm to cancel the card, you will be asked to authenticate and, once it is done, the card will be canceled

 

 

 

Rauva has a partnership with Swan, which provides all payment services to Rauva's clients. Swan is authorized and supervised in France by the ACPR/Banque de France, operating in Portugal under the freedom to provide services as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) and registered as an authorized entity under no. 7893 in the Bank of Portugal. Rauva does not provide payment services and does not take possession of customer funds. Clients' funds are protected in accordance with applicable legislation.
