How can I cancel a transfer?
This article clarifies whether it's possible to cancel a transfer initiated through Rauva, and under what conditions cancellation may be possible.
How can I cancel a transfer?
Once a transfer has been submitted, it immediately enters the banking network for processing.
Whether it can still be cancelled depends on its current status and the reason for the delay.
Transfers that have already been processed
After a transfer is fully processed and sent to the recipient’s bank, it can no longer be cancelled manually.
If a transfer was sent to an incorrect account or duplicated by mistake, our team can request a reversal from our banking partner.
Please note that this process involves multiple banks and can take up to 15 business days to receive a response from the recipient’s bank.
If the account to which the transfer was sent is closed or restricted, the banking network automatically returns the funds — no action is needed on your side. You’ll see the amount back in your account once the reversal is completed.
Transfers that are still pending
If the transfer appears as pending due to a compliance review by our banking partner (Swan), it cannot be cancelled until the verification is completed.
If the transfer is pending without any compliance review — for example, stuck in processing or created by mistake — cancellation may still be possible, depending on its status.
In such cases, please contact our support team immediately so we can verify with Swan whether the payment can still be stopped.
Important tips
-
Always double-check the IBAN and recipient name before confirming a transfer.
-
Do not send multiple identical transfers in a row — this can trigger additional banking checks or duplicate processing.
-
If you’re unsure about the status of a transfer, reach out to our support team before trying again.
Summary
Most transfers cannot be cancelled once they are sent, but in some cases — such as duplicates, errors, or pending transactions still under review — we can verify whether a reversal or cancellation is possible.
